Use the prototype with clear expectations.

1. Prototype status

Cloudfunding is an experimental website and Electron application exploring consent-based bandwidth sharing and public-benefit project funding. The repository does not provide a signed public installer, a production allocation ledger, guaranteed project payouts, a public API, an investment product, or a token.

Prototype campaign names, targets, progress percentages, user counts, impact totals, and project descriptions are illustrative unless a page explicitly links them to a verified live record.

2. Permitted use

You may review the static content, inspect the source under the applicable repository licenses, and run the developer prototype on systems you own or are authorized to administer.

You must not use the prototype to access systems or bandwidth without permission; conceal sharing from a device owner; bypass consent; interfere with bandwidth-sharing or third-party services; submit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or malicious project material; misrepresent prototype records as verified funding; or impersonate Cloudfunding.

You are responsible for your network agreement, workplace or school policies, local law, device security, data limits, power use, and any charges resulting from running development software.

3. Bandwidth sharing

Sharing begins only after an affirmative action in the desktop interface. The prototype uses a third-party bandwidth-sharing SDK with its own operation and terms. Availability, routing, traffic volume, and request counts may vary.

You may stop through the Cloudfunding interface or sharing consent settings. A closed window may leave the application running in the system tray; quitting the process ends the running local application.

No uninterrupted operation, minimum activity, funding conversion, revenue amount, or continued third-party availability is promised.

4. Projects, applications, and funding

Submitting or drafting a project application does not create a right to review, listing, allocation, funding, publicity, partnership, or payment. The local preview does not transmit applications.

Production project participation would require separate diligence, written conditions, milestones, lawful payment arrangements, reporting, conflicts disclosure, and rights to pause, recover, reallocate, or end funding.

Participant project preferences in the prototype are stored locally. They do not currently direct a production payout.

5. Content, source, and feedback

Cloudfunding names, visual assets, written content, generated project artwork, and source code may be subject to different copyright and license terms. A public repository does not automatically place every asset in the public domain.

Third-party names and packages remain the property of their respective owners. The bandwidth-sharing provider is independent from Cloudfunding.

If you submit feedback through a repository channel, you permit maintainers to use it to evaluate and improve the project without an obligation to compensate you, while you retain ownership of your original material.

6. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The prototype is provided for evaluation and development on an “as available” basis, without warranties of merchantability, fitness, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, or error-free operation to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Development software may contain defects, consume resources, lose local settings, stop working after a dependency change, or interact unexpectedly with networks and operating systems. Back up important systems and do not use the prototype in safety-critical or production environments.

No limitation in these draft terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. A production operator must publish governing law, venue, consumer rights, liability limits, business identity, and mandatory local terms appropriate to its actual jurisdictions.

7. Changes and production requirements

The repository and these prototype terms may change as the design evolves. Material production changes should be versioned and communicated before taking effect where practical.

Before a public service launch, replace this draft with terms issued by the responsible legal entity and covering service eligibility, supported regions, provider terms, acceptable use, accounts, project agreements, payments, taxes, refunds, suspension, termination, intellectual property, complaints, liability, governing law, and contact information.
